This text started being written on April 12th, sorry.
March was extremely hectic around here... besides some health issues, there was a lot of work. Fortunately, I managed to find some time to get back to writing here... this will probably be a long one, so get ready.
At the end of March, CCXP announced the presence of Nick Dragotta and Frank Martin, so here we go to our 2nd Echoes event.
Nick and Frank are one of the creative teams I’ve followed the most since I started collecting comics. I discovered their work in East of West (and it was because of that title that I first got in touch with Frank almost 9 years ago), and now I’ll have the chance to get some autographs from both of them at the event — after all, not everything is about work, right?!
We’re working to bring more Echoes names to CCXP.
Another thing... we now have a second artist in the absolute universe titled Adriano Lucas, the colorist of Absolute Flash. The pages from the first issue are all available in Artist's Proof here.
Last month, I subscribed to the DC app. Yes, I know — I already have access to the Collector's Editions, so why pay for digital access? Well, most of my reading is divided into:
Things I want to read.
Things I have to read to know how to sell/how much to ask for with the distributor.
So the app, which updates issues one month after their release, gives me a second chance to organize the reading of things I want to read but never have time for. Yes, I know — it’s crazy — but it’s been working, and I’ve been enjoying the app.
Talking a bit about the market... I’ve been seeing a lot of concerns regarding the new tariffs imposed by the US on other countries, especially China and Canada, where most materials are printed... and well, it is worrying, but it’s not something that can be avoided. All I can do is keep following it and hope nothing blows up.
Last week, I read Blood & Thunder #1 and #2. The plot is by Kirkman, and it’s developed by Cernero (script) and E.J. (art)... and what a fun comic. The first issue does a great job presenting the universe and the main problem of the first arc and E.J.'s art is looking fantastic... I plan to follow this one monthly.
We recently started selling signed editions internationally through https://www.raremarq.com/u/EchoesofNarratives/about. And it has been a success!
Very soon, we should have more items available there, so I recommend keeping an eye out.
And our art drop returns next week, so get ready — lots of new things are coming.
